12 years in, no degree.

I wrote my first line of code at thirteen because I wanted a thing to exist and nobody was going to build it for me. That is still, more or less, the whole method.

I never went to university. What I have instead is a long tail of production systems: membership platforms for a Peruvian officers’ club, infrastructure tooling for a Brooklyn startup, ten-plus Flutter apps in the stores, a multi-tenant AI agent platform, an observability stack I wrote in Rust because the hosted ones were priced for companies with a finance department.

I work best when I understand a system down to its mechanism. I would rather spend a day reading the protocol spec than a week guessing at a client library. That habit is slow on Monday and very fast by Thursday.

Outside the terminal: chess, astrophysics, marine biology, and a 6-DOF robot arm slowly taking over my desk.
